Danish newspaper reports on Triac ferries

The Danish newspaper, Sofart Daerfter, has published an article titled, Faaborg vaerftaner interesse fra europaeiske storbyer (“Faarborg is attracting interest from European cities”) dated 2 March 2020, regarding several passenger ferries that have composite superstructures built by Triac Composites (see picture of finished ferry below).

Triac Composites built composite superstructures for each of the three 24m passenger ferries as well as the bench seats in October of last year (2019).


The builder was keen to have composite superstructures to significantly reduce:


  • Weight (for improved fuel efficiency and engine performance); and

  • Maintenance costs
